Jesus, Lord, and Christ: Is This Foolishness or Wisdom?

In Conclusion

Every human being must decide where he or she stands in regards to Jesus Christ. Is He or is He not the Son of God? Was He or was He not raised from the dead?

I have chosen 1 Corinthians 1: 18-23 to close:

^"The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. For it is written: 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.'

Where is the wise man?

Where is the scholar?

Where is the philosopher of this age?

Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks (Gentiles) look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God."

Everyone Will Bow to Jesus...

"Who, being in very

nature, God

did not consider equality

with God

something to be grasped,

but made Himself nothing,

taking on the very nature

of a servant,

being made in human

likeness.

And being found

in appearance as a man,

He humbled Himself

and became

obedient to death -

even death on a cross!

Therefore, God exalted Him

to the highest place

and gave Him the name that

is above every name,

That at the name of Jesus

every knee should bow

in Heaven and on earth

and under the earth,

And every tongue confess

that Jesus Christ is Lord

to the glory of God

the Father."

"If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised.

And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith."

"But, Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the Firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep;

For, since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a Man.

For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
