Jesus Returned To Heaven

Jesus said to His disciples in John 14:1-4:
“ 'Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me.  In My Father’s house are many rooms;  if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. ' ”

"Thomas said to Him, 'Lord, we don’t know where You are going, so how can we know the way?'

Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.' " John 14:5-6

Later, in Acts 1:8-11, forty days after Jesus' death and resurrection, and seconds before He returned to Heaven, Jesus said to His disciples:

" '...you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.'

After He said this, He was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.

They were looking intently up into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 'Men of Galilee,' they said, 'why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into Heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into Heaven.”  Acts 1:8-11

The prophet Daniel's vision of Jesus in Heaven:
“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days (also Daniel 7:9) and was led into His presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will never be destroyed." Daniel 7:13-14

John's vision of Jesus in Heaven in Revelation 5:1-14
"Then I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, 'Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?'

But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it.  I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

Then one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.'

Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. He came and took the scroll from the right hand of Him who sat on the throne.  And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

And they sang a new song:

'You are worthy to take the scroll
   and to open its seals,
because You were slain,
and with Your blood You purchased men for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation.
You have made them to be
a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and they will reign on the earth.'

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.  In a loud voice they sang:

'Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth
and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise'

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:

'To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!'

The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Jesus now sits at the Father's right hand.  King David prophesied of this saying:

"The LORD says to my Lord:
   Sit at My right hand
until I make Your enemies
a footstool for Your feet.” Psalm 110:1
