He Said He'd Rise in 3 Days

"As the time approached for Him to be taken up to Heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem." Luke 9:51
Jesus told His disciples along the way that He would die in Jerusalem, then come back to life on the third day.  His predictions are recorded in the Bible as follows:
*
"Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside and said to them, 'We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law.

They will condemn Him to death and will turn Him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day He will be raised to life!'"  Matthew 20:17-19

*
"He said to them, 'The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after three days He will rise.' But they did not understand what He meant and were afraid to ask Him about it."  Mark 9:31-32

*
"Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, 'We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. He will be handed over to the Gentiles. They will mock Him, insult Him, spit on Him, flog Him, and kill Him.  On the third day He will rise again.'

The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what He was talking about. ” Luke 18: 31-34
*
"I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed;  But, if it dies, it produces many seeds."  John 12:24

*
"'But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.'  He said this to show the kind of death He was going die.

The crowd spoke up, 'We heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever, so how can You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up?'  Who is this 'Son of Man?'

Then, Jesus told them, 'You are going to have the Light just a little while longer.  Walk while you have the Light, before darkness overtakes you.  The man who walks in the dark does not know where he is going.  Put your trust in the Light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.'  When He had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid Himself from them." John 12:32-36
